Leslye Forrest
Leslye Forrest sent all three of her boys through the KinderPrep program. She believes in our program so much that she has been teaching here for 16 years! Her positive, easy-going, and flexible personality creates a vibrant and welcoming environment for our youngest three-year-olds. Leslye teaches from her heart and loves each student as her own. She loves spending time with her family, enjoys the outdoors, and cheering on her boys on the soccer field. Watching sunrises and sunsets are her all time relaxing go tos.

Jane Eure
Jane Eure has been a blessing to our school and is now in her third year as an assistant teacher. She has over 18 years experience in a preschool setting and as a photographer. Jane’s happy, friendly, and patient teaching style helps to make children feel loved and safe in her care. Four of Jane’s eight grandchildren have attended KinderPrep and she is quite familiar with the school. You might find Jane taking photos on her hikes, camping, or spending time with family.

Debbie Canady
Debbie Canady has been a fun, energetic, hands-on educator at KinderPrep for 19 years. She loves seeing the excitement on her student’s faces when they experience an “ah-ha!” moment and watching them learn and grow. Known as the “Confetti Queen” by her family for her love of adding confetti to their birthday cards, Debbie can be found taking road trips to the Outer Banks or seeking out mountain waterfalls. She loves animals, sunsets, her husband of 40 years, and her family, including her beautiful 2 yr. old granddaughter, and her grandson arriving late November, 2024.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified or discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Jennifer Grillo
Jennifer Grillo was drawn to teach at KinderPrep by its “great reputation from employees and parents.” Now in her fourth year with us, Ms. Jen’s kind and helpful personality is making her room a delightful place to learn and grow. One of her favorite parts about teaching is encouraging friendships and appropriate social interactions in her students. Ms. Jen has a rich background in customer service with a degree in and loads of experience in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional management. You can probably find her at the soccer field with her family or out enjoying the leaves on the trees during Fall (her favorite season).

Ashley Centeno
Ashley Centeno We are blessed to have Ashley back for her second year as a teacher! She holds both a Bachelors and a Masters in PreK-6 Elementary Education from ODU. Her fun, interactive, musical and movement filled teaching style matches her own active lifestyle—Ashley plays tennis and soccer and loves MixxedFit. Her patient and organized manner plays into her love of true crime shows and podcasts. When not at school, you can find Ashley spending time with her family and dog, Zeke.

Lauren Munden

Lauren Munden may be cheerfully completing her first year on staff, but, as a parent, PVO volunteer, and substitute teacher she has been a part of the KinderPrep family for eight years. She has been relied upon by not only KP to engage and guide young children, but by others in our community as well. Lauren has experience as a Girl Scout Troop Leader, was a teacher for a children’s Bible Study Fellowship, and a regular volunteer in Chesapeake Public School classrooms. Outside of KP, Lauren enjoys spending time attending her four daughters’ sporting events, dance competitions, and music performances. She can often be found enjoying coffee shops antique shopping, or exploring a new city. Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3: 22-23 |

Kim Cosby
Kimberly Cosby is in her fourth year at KinderPrep. She comes to us with 16 years of teaching experience and a master’s in education PK-6. She strives to foster a community of learners with fun, hand-on activities delivered via a variety of modalities to reach all learning styles. Her favorite part about the children is greeting them each morning. Funny and hard-working, Kimberly loves to spend time with her family, collect shark teeth, she loves to cook, work in her yard, and go to the beach.

Alezandra Hughes
Alezandra Hughes is in her second year at KinderPrep. A kind, loving, and joyful person herself, Alley was drawn to KinderPrep by “all the happy people.” 😊 Currently pursuing her Bachelors in Elementary Education, she loves seeing the creativity of her students. Alley enjoys crocheting, knitting, music, and playing with her four children. Fun facts about Alley: She is a twin and loves the color green!
