REGISTRATION/TUITION
Licensing regulations require preschool classes to be structured according to age. All children must meet the September 30th deadline to participate in their designated program. For example: Children in the 2 ½ year-old program must be 30 months by September 30th. Children entering the Kindergarten program must be 5 by September 30th.
Packets are available for pick-up between the hours of 9:00am and 12:00pm Monday through Friday beginning January 22, 2024. These packets contain all information needed to complete the registration process. On the designated registration days (see below), return the completed registration packet.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be a NON-REFUNDABLE registration fee of $200.00 due the day of registration. The registration fee for Kindergarten and 1st Grade is $250.00. The registration fee helps cover supplies/materials for the upcoming school year. If you are registering more than one child, there is a 50% discount towards the registration fee for the second and subsequent child.
There are several pages for registration that need to be completed to satisfy the Virginia State Law. The registration packet includes a Registration Paperwork Checklist to help you prepare and gather all the necessary documents.

(2) Proof of identity. This may include a certified copy of the birth certificate, birth registration card, notification of birth (hospital, physician or midwife), adoption papers or placement agreement from a child placing agency.

Throughout the school year, we will maintain a waiting list to ensure 100% occupancy. As an opening occurs, we will contact you and need a response within 24 hours. This will enable us to fill the opening as quickly as possible.

In-House Registration
Children who are currently enrolled in our program, their siblings, and church members (New Creation UMC) may pre-register for the next school year during in-house registration. Our in-house registration begins on Monday, February 5, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year. Office staff will be there to accept your registration packet, enroll your child and answer any question you may have. In-house registration is designated for returning families and/or members of New Creation UMC.
Open Registration
Open registration for the community at large begins 9:30AM on Monday, February 12, 2024. If registering for our Kindergarten program, please call the KinderPrep office to make an appointment to meet with our Head of Admissions, Michelle Hendrickson.

Notes on Tuition Rates * Monthly Tuition Rates for all programs (except 1st grade) are paid over 9 months. (September - May). They include a $5 handling fee. **First Grade Monthly Tuition Rates are paid over 10 months and DO NOT include a handling fee. ***You may avoid the monthly handling fees by paying the year in full before September 10th. Multiple child discount: Families enrolling more than 1 child will receive a 3% discount off the youngest child’s tuition. Families enrolling more than 2 children will receive a 10% discount off of the third child’s and/or youngest child’s tuition.
Tuition is based on the school year calendar. There will be no reduction in charges for school vacations, snow days, holidays or absences. If paying monthly, tuition must be paid on the first school day of each month via Brightwheel, cash, or check. Checks should be made payable to Aldersgate New Creation KinderPrep. To ensure proper credit, please put your child's name on the check. A late fee of $10.00 will be added to tuition not paid within the first 10 days of each month. Receipts are available upon request. There is a $30.00 fee for all returned checks. If a check is returned, repayment must be made in cash.
